Popular Malaysian snack brand Mister Potato owned by Mamee-Double Decker has signed a sponsorship deal with international football club Manchester United.
As part of the deal the company has also launched 'The Ultimate Man Utd Experience' campaign.
The regional campaign which ends in December aims to enhance Mister Potato's brand image and strengthen its brand affinity with target consumers leveraging on their interest for football and love for MU.
As part of the campaign, Mister Potato is running a contest asking consumers to purchase Mister Potato Man Utd Editions packs, get the unique code card inside the pack and answer the question on it through a submission online or via sms.
Winners will then stand a chance to meet their football heroes with VIP Home Tickets, return air tickets, accommodation, Old Trafford Stadium Tour, and a chance to meet and sit in their favorite players' dressing room.
The campaign reaches out to college, university students, young working adults and urban families.
A TVC for the campaign is currently airing on astro, ESPN, TV3,8TV,NTV7 and TV9. Print ads can be seen on The Sun, MU Magazine, United Review UK and Inside United UK.
Radio ads will air on Hitz.fm, sinar FM, Hot fm and fly fm and online banners can be spotted on Yahoo, MSN, Goal.com, ESPN SoccerNet, Premier League, Catch Network and Facebook.
The creative agency behind them campaign is Spin Communication and Vizeum was responsible for media buying and planning.
