Metro Broadcast's commercial chief Teresa Fung to step down

Metro Broadcast's chief commercial officer Teresa Fung is leaving the company, a source familiar with the matter told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE. An internal email of Metro Broadcast said Fung will be departing the company effective from 11 December, adding that Fung's contribution to the new digital business transformation was essential to the company's success. The company has yet announced her  successor.

Fung joined the company in May 2018. She was responsible for responsible for all commercial developments, including project and programme strategies. She also focuses on digital transformation, such as influencer marketing, content strategy and audience engagement strategy, to name a few. She also helped transform Multi Metro into a digital-driven business unit, leveraging the strength of Metro Broadcast including renowned programme hosts and content as well as multi digital platforms, offering holistic O2O communication services to deliver more effective ROIs for marketers.

Prior to her current role, she was managing director of Task Force Strategic Agency, which offered market consultancy services relating to advertising, project and product development, media and marketing. The agency was an authorised agent of Hyperin in Hong Kong and Macau, operating its "Hyperin" Total Digital Mall Solutions and Data Analytics., according to her LinkedIn.

Fund also boasts experiences at OOH advertising businesses including Cody International, POAD Group and JCDecaux Transport Hong Kong. She was chief commercial officer at Cody International from August 2015 to June 2016, responsible for commercial development, strategic business development, business and sales strategy. She handled a wide variety of projects including advertising sites at the Western Harbour Tunnel, Eastern Harbour Tunnel, Tai Lam Tunnel, Hung Hing Road billboards, New World First Bus in-bus TV Buzplay, taxi Advertising and other billboard sites.

At POAD Group, she was managing director from November 2009 to July 2012, managing business strategy and sales and marketing functions of the company. She managed many projects including Hong Kong Tramway shelters, MTR billboards, the Cross Harbour Tunnel advertising, taxi advertising, rooftop signage and over 100 Hong Kong billboard sites.

She also worked for JCDeacux Transport Hong Kong for 15 years until 2008 where her last title was deputy managing director and executive director. In this business, she oversaw the overall business operation, including business development and sales and marketing.
