Melaka City Council creates tourism app

The Melaka City Council has launched the Mymelaka app which brings together a variety of information, allowing tourists to better understand the city. It features information about the government, maps of tourist sites, public spaces, general information and discount offers for users.Developed by Wasilah Global Group, the company specialises in diversified businesses including engineering, manufacturing, agriculture, trading and services. Mymelaka was initiated by mayor Datuk Haji Azmi bin Haji Hussain with hopes that the application will help Melaka's tourism industry and enable visitors to know the city better, according to the website.Another attempt to turn the tide for tourism in Melaka was carried out by Melaka Mythas Legacy and First Avenue Partners (Asia) in March this year, which partnered to launch the country's first love-themed harbour, Love Harbour Melaka at The Riviera. The attraction offers wedding planner services, bridal shops, and a stunning cross-century love theme pavilion.In addition, the harbour features classical European architectural design houses and businesses, which includes boutique hotels, wide range of food and beverage establishments, as well as various retailers and specialty shops. Mythas Legacy is also on the lookout for more tenants and businesses that can add value to the growth of Love Harbour Melaka.
