Mediacorp's chief customer officer Irene Lim is leaving to pursue a new challenge. Mediacorp's spokesperson confirmed the move to Marketing, stating that her last day of service is 30 June. The company is still searching for a replacement and in the interim, the spokesperson said Lim's (pictured) responsibilities will be covered by CEO Tham Loke Kheng, chief content officer Doreen Neo and editor-in-chief Walter Fernandez.

Lim joined the company in 2006 as head of sales in the then TV12 and went on to manage the sales and marketing team in 2011, before moving into a business role managing Chinese audience in 2015. She was appointed to her current role on the senior management team in 2018 and was responsible for consumer segments, broadcast engineering and broadcast operations. According to Mediacorp's spokesperson, during her 14 years with the company, Lim has led the charge in moving the organisation towards being more customer-centric, and developing new and innovative content strategies that increased audience engagement.

Tham said: "Lim will be dearly missed. Apart from her professional achievements, she has over the years impressed colleagues with her high standards, drive and commitment, as those who have worked with her would agree. On behalf of all of Mediacorp, I would like to wish her the very best for her next adventure.”

Mediacorp has witnessed some key leadership changes since 2018. Two years ago, former CMO Debra Soon left the company to join Tan Chong International as head – group corporate management. In 2018, Mediacorp also welcomed on board Starhub's former VP of brand experience Oliver Chong to the role of head of consumer marketing. Later on in January 2019, Chong was promoted to head of marketing and communications. Meanwhile in January this year, former head of corporate marketing and communications, Karen Yew, left to join Surbana Jurong as group chief communications and branding officer.

Separately last year, the company rolled out a "Made for you" brand campaign which included a new slogan, a music video and brand vignettes, reflecting a company-wide reinvention of Mediacorp. Mediacorp previously told Marketing that the new campaign is aimed at strengthening its relevance to consumers, advertisers and the community. Subsequently, it revamped its OTT service Toggle to meWatch as well as its digital radio MeRadio to meListen. Mediacorp also renamed its loyalty programme MeClub to meRewards. As of January this year, the company's digital products was brought under an umbrella of "me" branding.
