Mediacorp Partner Network brings on board ESPN in multi-year agreement

Sports publisher ESPN and Singapore media company Mediacorp have formed a strategic digital collaboration for sports fan and marketers.

The agreement combines Mediacorp’s multiplatform audience reach and deep commercial relationships with ESPN’s global leadership in sports coverage and content.  This is in line with Mediacorp Partner Network, an initiative that brings Mediacorp together with marketers to deliver a richer experience for consumers and advertisers in Singapore.

Under a multi-year agreement with ESPN, Mediacorp will be the exclusive representative for all ad sales in Singapore for Both companies aim to extend the range of advertising solutions to marketers in reaching the most engaged sports audience in Singapore through native and high impact options.  Mediacorp did not elaborate on the options further.

Mediacorp will bring ESPN’s sports content into its growing portfolio of digital assets that include over 50 products in English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil.

In addition, ESPN will be launching a dedicated Singapore edition of the its ESPN site in the coming months. The site will deliver a mix of local sports news and features as well as unmatched coverage of the most relevant and popular sports and leagues from around the globe. The site will offer a mobile-first, video-rich platform that will give Singapore sports fans industry-leading coverage of global football, golf, tennis, boxing, MMA, cricket, rugby, NBA, NFL, MLB and many others.

ESPN’s GM Southeast Asia Lance Peatey said that ESPN looks forward to work with Mediacorp in reaching its sports fans with both global and local sports coverage and content. He also adds that this will be a "winning combination" for both the fans and advertisers.
