MediaCorp hires new VP of product marketing

Cheryl Wang has been appointed VP of product marketing for MediaCorp. Wang has regional marketing experience, with over 20 years of strategic brand management and marketing communications experience in Asia Pacific.In her new role, Wang reports to Christina Chua, senior VP of marketing & sales planning. Wang is responsible for the development and formulation of product marketing strategies, while ensuring optimal tripartite relationships among internal business units, sales teams and advertisers. With her extensive experience in consumer marketing, marketing activation, agency management and brand development, Wang’s appointment will be a valuable contribution as MediaCorp focuses on an outside-in approach to maximise advertising potentials for the company.Previously Wang was the director of brand and strategic marketing at Tigerair where she was responsible for establishing Tigerair as the leading airline social brand in the Asia. She also handled the airline’s brand development, branding strategy across the organisation and brand vision. Wang also drove the development and launch of Tigerair’s 360 brand campaign working closely with all its creative, digital/social and media agencies.Prior to her stint at Tigerair, she was working with SingTel for over two years as director of brand development and sponsorships. At SingTel, she was responsible for the establishing SingTel as the leading multimedia solutions and social brand.She also spent over six years at Nokia where she held the role of head of marketing activation.
