Media agency MediaCom Thailand has named former TMB Bank business innovation lead, Piyawan Khwanngarm (pictured) as business director. In the newly-created role, Khwanngarm will be reporting directly to the agency’s managing director, Suporn Aroonpakmongkol.
In a statement to Marketing, a MediaCom Thailand spokesperson said Khwanngarm returns to the agency after leaving her role as digital director previously. She first joined MediaCom Thailand in 2015.
She will now lead a team of 16 specialists, comprising a mix of digital and hybrid planners. The team aims to help MediaCom and its clients grow as the media business enters into a new era of digital innovation and technology. She will also be overseeing MediaCom’s key clients in the region including Shell, Malee, Mars, Uniqlo, Richemont, Bayer, Sony, Warner Bros and Vitamilk.
With over 14 years of experience in media and digital marketing, Khwanngarm brings with her category experience that ranges from luxury and beauty to FMCG. She spent a year at TMB driving the bank's innovation efforts.
Aroonpakmongkol said she is confident the agency will grow from strength to strength with the appointment as Khwanngarm is a "widely-respected digital expert", who has extensive experience in providing marketing solutions for brands in Thailand. "In addition to her experience, she is also a great mentor who has built a strong team of passionate planners," she added.
Khwanngarm said: “I am delighted to re-join MediaCom Thailand and to have the amazing opportunity to support the transformation of client businesses. And on top of that, I am extremely excited to be working with the great team at MediaCom Thailand." MediaCom is a member of WPP, and part of its consolidated media investment management arm, GroupM.
