
Media Prima makes multiple promotions

Malaysia - Media Prima has reshuffled its top management, promoting Ahmad Izham Omar (pictured) to chief executive officer of television networks for Media Prima.In his new role, he will oversee Media Prima's four free-to-air stations TV3, 8TV, ntv7 and TV9.Omar was most recently chief operating officer of television networks and chief executive officer of Primeworks Studios.The group has also appointed Shareen Ooi Bee Hong as group chief marketing officer, overseeing and coordinating integrated marketing and group sales, relinquishing her role as chief marketing officer of television networks.Her appointment will see Lam Swee Kim, current head of integrated marketing, focus on expanding the group's digital business in her existing capacity as group general manager of Media Prima Digital.Joining as chief operating officer, group shared services, is Y.Bhg Datuk Kamal Khalid who will oversee business development, engineering services, airtime management, research, stakeholder management & regulatory affairs, group corporate communications, content acquisition and pay channels.Datuk Kamal joined the group in May 2009 as chief operating officer, Media Prima International.The appointments, which will take effect on 1 March, are aimed to position the group to face future challenges and improve operational efficiencies.
