Global creative and media agency VaynerMedia has launched an office in India, making it the company’s sixth office in the Asia Pacific region, and 13th globally. According to the agency, the move is to better cater to clients and the growing business demands in the Indian market, it said in a statement.

The launch comes following its previous partnership with local agency Step1, which will now integrate into the VaynerMedia family under VaynerMedia India. VaynerMedia India will offer a full suite of services, including creative, strategy, media, and consulting under the leadership of Salman Moin.

"India's deeply diverse cultural heritage combined with its rapidly growing economy and exploding social media landscape presents a truly unique and exciting opportunity for brands," said CEO and co-founder Gary Vaynerchuk.

He also cites India as a country with “entrepreneurial spirit” and “diverse culture”, which creates strong opportunities for VaynerMedia’s growth.

“India’s entrepreneurial spirit, rapid economic growth, and thriving pop culture make it one of the most exciting markets in the world right now. It brings together deep-rooted tradition and fast-paced innovation –– the ideal conditions for dynamic brands to thrive,” said Asia Pacific managing director Tim Lindley.

Lindley added that Indian businesses have leveraged social media on a whole new level to disrupt global dynamics, allowing VaynerMedia to deploy its "social at the centre" marketing model. The agency’s social-centric marketing model emphasises integrating analytics from consumer behaviour to drive business results for its clients.

VaynerMedia was first established in the United States in 2009, and has experienced expansion in the past four years extending to the Asia Pacific in 2019, followed by Mexico in 2021 to cater to Latin America. In 2022, the agency launched in The Netherlands and, more recently, in mid-March 2023, in Toronto, Canada. The most recent opening in India, makes a total of six offices across the region for VaynerMedia APAC.

Other efforts to spur VaynerMedia’s growth in APAC include its recent appointment of Melanie Cook as its new head of strategy and insights of Asia Pacific. In a statement made by Cook at the time, she said would leverage her extensive expertise as an international strategic leader to spearhead the regional strategy team.
