Milton Liao will join Maxus on 1 September as VP for Southern China, reporting to Maxus China president Annie Hsiao.
Liao will be responsible for overseeing all operations in the southern market including client services and new business development. He started his marketing career in Leo Burnett as associate brand director serving clients such as P&G, McDonald, Wrigley, etc.
Prior to Maxus, he was VP of Orient Life Ltd overseeing new company establishment and management, product positioning and launch.
He was once marketing director in HJ Heinz and worked 10 years for Amway Greater China as brand director.
"The digital era brought unprecedented attention to brand marketing," Liao said. "The emerging communication technologies and philosophies make creative and result-driven even more crucial."
Hsiao added that Southern China was a unique market, with its own language system and culture background.
"Milton is familiar with the market. With his creativity and fresh perspective on the agency’s business, I believe Maxus Southern China will continue to grow under his leadership."
