LOOK Maxis sends head of consumer business to personally deliver iPhones

Telco Maxis Malaysia has kicked off the nations biggest one-day phone delivery operation.

The telco promises every customer who pre-ordered iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will receive their phones in 24 hours of launch - no matter where they are in Malaysia. This is part of Maxis’ 24 Hour Express promise this year.

All in all, over 1,000 phones will be fulfilled between 12.01am and 11.59pm on 16 October. Some customers who selected the Express Delivery also decided to take Maxis up on their “anywhere in Malaysia” promise and deliveries this year have been requested on a boat off the coast of Langkawi, in the interior of Sabah, and in Cameron Highlands, to name a few.

On route to deliver the iPhone to one customer in Pudu, Kuala Lumpur was Dushyan Vaithiyanathan, Maxis’ head of consumer business.

“There’s nothing more satisfying than to have your iPhone delivered right to your doorstep, and fast. For us, it’s not just about the delivery speed but the experience that our customers have each time we interact with them, and that includes having the best 4G experience with this iconic phone,” said Dushyan.

Customers also had the option to self-collect their phones under the Express Collection service at any of 40 Maxis Centers nationwide, with a promise of fulfillment within 24 hours.

This year, customers who missed the pre-order window can check stock availability via RealView, a Telco-1st in-store phone stock checker on Maxis’ website. Here, customers can find their preferred phone model/colour, with stock information updated hourly. This initiative was aimed at helping customers find the nearest Maxis Centre where their exact phone model/colour is available and avoid wasting time chasing stocks around town.
