Maxis has tied up with business opinion leaders to co-create 100 stories with constructive tips and hacks on how to stay in business during this trying period as part of its #KitaSapotKita campaign. The initiative aims to bring entertainment and business content to consumers during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period. Among the list of entrepreneurs who have shared tips include Benjamin Yong of The BIG Group, Christy Ng of Christy Ng Shoes, Dahlia Nadirah of SO.LEK Cosmetics, and Roen Cian franchise owner of Gong Cha.

The telco hopes to show businesses how they can stay connected with consumers through video and editorial content, and find the right answers and spark ideas that will enable them to adapt and thrive during and post-MCO. Additionally, it also collaborated with influencers Alyssa Dezek, Fatin Afeefa, Sazzy Falak, Nana Sheme, Leona and Along Cham for #KitaSapotKita daily livestream sessions. Those who missed out on the one-hour livestream sessions can watch playbacks on its YouTube channel. Additionally, Kaka Azraff, Aizat Amdan, De Fam, Bunga Isme, Sweet Qismina, Nana Mahazan and Nabila Razali will also produce PSA videos on their respective Instagram channels.

Maxis also has consumers covered with original entertainment, created together with, and in support of local artists and the entertainment industry. According to the telco, the videos have received over 3.4 million views and over 26,000 hours of watch time since their launch on 27 March. Some of the popular videos include Hadapinya Bersama – Duduk Di Rumah, Kekal Berhubung and the MV parody Duduk Diam Diam. Besides getting involvement from influencers and business leaders, Maxis is also encouraging Malaysians to participate in the campaign by uploading their version of entertainment at home, or share tips on how to remain in business with the hashtag #KitaSapotKita.

The telco is announcing the next phase of its campaign on 21 April, whereby it will announce the #KitaSapotKita pledge campaign through a brand new song collaboration with Zee Avi, Faizal Tahir and 10 local artists. Head of brand and marketing Tai Kam leong said the idea behind the campaign is to call on the nation to inspire one another positively in their own ways. Maxis believes that all Malaysians are empowered to always be ahead regardless of challenge, he said.

"We invite people from all walks of life – be it fathers, mothers or young people, to business leaders and entrepreneurs – to join in and share their own videos on how to stay entertained and productive in these times. It is Maxis’ belief that all Malaysians are empowered to always be ahead regardless of challenges," Tai added.

Besides the campaign, Maxis has also contributed to the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic by supporting the Ministry of Health through essential connectivity needs for Sungai Buloh Hospital and Hospital Kuala Lumpur. It also offered consumers an additional free 1GB of data every day following the extension of the MCO and continues to ensure uninterrupted connectivity by keeping its fixed and mobile networks healthy.
