Indonesian PR firm Maverick Indonesia has joined One Asia, Korea’s first locally based PR regional network, as it looks to provide a one-stop public relations solution for brands in the APAC region.

According to a statement by Maverick, the inaugural members of One Asia PR Group include Hahm Partners (South Korea), Distilleri (Singapore), Ivy+Partners (Vietnam), EloQ Communications (Vietnam) and JC&Co Communications (Thailand), with each member representing Asian countries across the region.

“Asia is such a diverse market culturally, politically and socially that it requires on-ground local agencies to provide the contextual intelligence and local networks that multinational corporations and brands need to operate effectively,” said Siwon Hahm, the founder of One Asia and CEO of Hahm Partners in South Korea. "We are delighted that Maverick Indonesia, the largest independent PR firm in that country, has agreed to join us,” he continued.

Ong Hock Chuan, managing partner of Maverick Indonesia, added on by saying: “The global centre of gravity for business is moving and we are excited to join a regional PR network that has its origins in Asia”.

One Asia PR Group is also actively seeking to collaborate with additional esteemed partners in the near future due to its commitment to continuous growth and expansion.

PR agencies in Indonesia have been working hard to build a presence in the region as of late with campaigns and new leadership appointments. Recently, Ogilvy Indonesia appointed Fernanado Sarael as its new head of content. In his new role, Sarael will help the agency grow its content offerings by accelerating its content delivery at the intersection of brand building, agility, and efficiency.

As head of content, Sarael will lead a team of over 30 composed of content strategists, designers and writers, a task he is familiar with having worked extensively with teams at Ogilvy Indonesia for the last four years. Before being promoted to head of content, Sarael  was business director at the agency.
