Mastercard and MrBeast want creators to cash in on more than view

Mastercard has partnered with MrBeast's Beast Industries to launch a series of initiatives aimed at helping creators turn their online influence into sustainable businesses.

The partnership will span consumer and creator co-branded card programmes, experiences, tools and financial education, with the two companies looking to give creators and younger consumers greater support in building businesses and managing their finances.

As part of the collaboration, Mastercard and Beast Industries will introduce co-branded offerings, exclusive cardholder benefits and 'Priceless' experiences linked to the MrBeast ecosystem. The companies said the initiatives are intended to give fans new ways to engage with the creator's brand while learning how creative ideas can be developed into businesses.

The partnership will also focus on creators who are moving beyond content creation to build companies, hire teams, launch products and reach customers globally.

Mastercard will bring its payments network, digital capabilities and loyalty expertise to the collaboration, while Beast Industries will tap into its creator ecosystem. Together, the companies aim to provide creators with tools and support to manage and scale their businesses and turn online reach into longer-term financial opportunities.

Financial education will form another part of the partnership. Through the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth and Beast Philanthropy, the companies plan to expand access to practical financial education and community-based resources, including information around earning, saving and protecting income.

The collaboration also supports Mastercard's wider commitment to connect and protect 500 million people and small businesses on their paths towards financial health by 2030.

Founded by Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, Beast Industries has expanded beyond his YouTube presence into a wider business spanning media, consumer products, technology platforms, mobile and financial services, alongside its philanthropic work.

Jill Kramer, chief marketing and communications officer at Mastercard, said the partnership reflects how younger generations are simultaneously shaping culture and creating new forms of commerce.

"Through our work with Beast Industries, we're meeting people where they are, bringing culture and commerce closer together, and opening new pathways from ideas and influence to meaningful economic opportunity," she said.

Jeff Housenbold, CEO of Beast Industries, added that innovation and philanthropy remain central to the company's approach.

"That's why this partnership is so important, it gives us a chance to dream big about how we help people gain practical skills, build that confidence and take their 'impossible' ideas further," he said.

The partnership comes as Mastercard continues to experiment with culture-led ways of reaching consumers across the region. Recently, the payments company turned payment safety into a K-drama with "Tap into my heart", a three-episode microdrama created with McCann Singapore and rolled out across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.

Running across eight weeks with supporting short-form content on TikTok, Meta and YouTube, the series uses familiar K-drama tropes and everyday situations to weave payment safety and security messages into its storyline. The campaign taps into the popularity of Korean entertainment and microdramas in Asia as Mastercard looks to make digital payment security more relevant and engaging to consumers.
