#MARKiesAwards 2020: The big winners list unveiled

Beating out stiff competition, DDB Group Singapore picked up a total of three gold, four silver and six bronze trophies, to claim the title of "Overall Creative Ideas MARKie" winner for the third consecutive year at this year's MARKies Awards for the third year running.  Meanwhile, Falcon Agency emerged victorious with two gold, two silver and one bronze trophy to bring home the title of "Overall Media Usage MARKie" title.

In total, the companies beat out 112 agencies who were competing for the titles at Marketing magazine's fourth annual MARKies Awards. Across the six campaigns DDB Group Singapore entered, the campaign, "Merdeka Generation Package" won one gold and two silver placings, which was done in partnership with Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI). Another campaign that stood out to judges, "Spark the Next" for Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth bagged one gold and two bronze trophies. Campaigns which were done for the Workforce Singapore claimed one silver and two bronze trophies in the Most Creative – Content Marketing, Most Creative – Digital and Most Creative – TV/ Video Advertising categories. The other two campaigns, "Glow the Future" won one silver and "PUB presents Kinship, a Hari Raya Film" won two bronze trophies.

Coming in second place, Mashwire secured one gold and one silver for the campaign “Strongbow Mixology, Cocktails for Every Moment” which was done for the Asia Pacific Breweries Singapore while “POKKA Houjicha - A Toast to the Small Things” bagged one gold and one bronze trophies. Digimagic Communications and McCann Worldgroup Singapore came in a joint third place. Digimagic Communications won two gold trophies in the creative segments of the awards for its partnership with National Heritage Board (NHB) & National Parks Board (NParks) while McCann Worldgroup Singapore also bagged two gold trophies for campaigns done for Mastercard and National Council of Social Service.

Falcon Agency grabbed its big wins in the Most Effective Use - Apps / Mobile, Most Effective Use – Content, Most Effective Use – Launch / Re-launch, Most Effective Use – Programmatic Marketing, Most Effective Use – Specific Audience categories for its campaign “HBOGo Audience Engagement Engine” which was done in partnership with HBO Asia.

Coming in a very close second was The Teeth who won two gold and two silver for its campaigns “Tiger Crystal | Crystal Cold Ice Party” in partnership with Asia Pacific Breweries Singapore in the Most Effective Use – Events, Most Effective Use – Experiential, Most Effective Use – Launch / Re-launch andMost Effective Use – Specific Audience categories. Coming in at third place was Iris Worldwide who bagged one gold, one silver and three bronze trophies for its campaign “Getting Singapore to All Hail Pats!” and “Love Sells: A Most Unusual Valentines”.

Other big winners that put in strong performance include BBH Asia Pacific, GOODSTUPH, Meet Isaac, Publicis Singapore, TBWA\Singapore and VMLY&R,. This year’s judging was exciting, with new and revamped list of categories. A pat on the back for all winners and finalists!
