Marketing strategy consultancy Aquanova names head of innovation

Marketing strategy consultancy Aquanova has appointed Sanjay Mendis as head of innovation, as the company expands its portfolio. Mendis (pictured) will oversee the growth of its product and innovation division working alongside founder and strategist Dipak Madhavan.

Mendis brings a wealth of experience in disciplines of customer experience improvement, online marketing, design thinking led strategy and eCommerce. He co-founded Sri Lankan-based strategic digital marketing solutions agency 230 Interactive in 2007 and prior to that, worked at BookXcess, Big Bad Wolf Books and Eureka Technology Partners, according to his LinkedIn.

Madhavan said Mendis joins the team to look into product innovation that aims to enhance the customer experience, acquisition and retention. "That will evidently drive improved results in revenue generation and cost optimisation for our clients," he added.

Aquanova was founded in 2009 and has been working closely with corporate leaders to develop their marketing strategies, and drive marketing initiatives and investments to deliver business value. Among the list of brands it has worked with include Liberty Insurance, AirAsia, BMW, KIA, Citroen, KitKat and Telkom Indonesia. It also offers digital transformation solutions covering revenue generation, cost management, technology and innovation and channel and media.
