Malaysian ministry aims to promote more local products

Malaysian ministry plans to roll out "premium outlets" for rural entrepreneurs at Rural Transformation Centres throughout the country.In a statement to The Star Online, rural and regional development Minister, Ismail Sabri Yaacob explained that as local products are often only known in the surrounding areas. With this move, the government hopes that they are given wider promotion to enable larger reach.According to Yacob, the outlets aim to boost the publicity and marketing of products made by rural entrepreneurs locally. In the article, he explained that if the exclusive availability of these local products is exclusively promoted, there products have immense potential of growth.
