Malaysian bag and footwear brand Christy Ng is setting its sights on the Philippines, following its recent expansion and store opening in Indonesia.
The brand first teased its entry into the market in September, sharing a video that showcased its upcoming outlet under renovation and hinted at a pop-up store scheduled from 2 to 19 October.
The pop-up offered shoppers the chance to meet the brand’s founder, Christy Ng, try on bags in person, and receive free gifts with a minimum purchase.

Alongside the pop-up announcement, Christy Ng released a short documentary-style video chronicling its journey from a humble Malaysian brand to a growing regional player.
Narrated by founder Ng, the video highlights the inspiration behind starting the brand and the hard work involved in building a successful label.
Established in 2012, Christy Ng opened its first store in 2016 at 1Utama in Malaysia. It has since expanded to 12 stores across the country and operates an eCommerce platform serving a global audience.
According to its website, the brand aims to fill gaps in the footwear market, offering stylish and comfortable shoes designed for Asian women.
A+M has reached out to the brand for further details on its Philippines expansion.
In March 2025, Christy Ng expanded into the Indonesian market, marking its first step outside Malaysia and signalling the brand’s growing regional ambitions.
It’s expansion into Indonesia was long-awaited. Ahead of its store opening at Kota Kasablanka in Jakarta, the brand teased the market with a guerrilla stunt: a video on Instagram showed women walking in a line carrying bright pink shopping bags larger than their own bodies, making their way through city streets toward the mall.
The Indonesian outlet featured exclusive pre-releases, restocked best sellers, and items previously sold out online, including the Russo and Alesso bags, the Como wallet, and the Yuki cardholder.
