Malaysia Airports Holdings (MAHB) has appointed Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh (pictured) as COO, adding that he will be “instrumental” in overseeing and driving strategies concerning airport operations, airport safety and security, as well as MAHB’s consultancy services for overseas airport operations and management, among others.
According to Bernama, MAHB said Shukrie’s “wide and illustrious” work experience include mergers and acquisitions, as well as risk management and human resources. It added that Shukrie brings “significant value” to the group in attaining its goal of turning Malaysia into a strong aviation hub.
He was previously the COO at Redbox Logistics, AirAsia’s logistics arm and prior to that, group CEO of Pos Malaysia, a role he held until 31 December 2017. He also served at DRB-HICOM, the parent company of Pos Malaysia, for 12 years.
Meanwhile, MAHB is currently in the midst of a brand refresh initiative which also covers Kuala Lumpur International Airport. A+M understands the brand refresh involves three stages – brand audit, development of brand’s blueprint and communications plan for new brand launch.
