Malaysia Airlines halts shares today, mulls restructure

Malaysia Airlines (MAS) has suspended its shares in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia today, according to a statement from the company listed on Bursa Malaysia.According to Businessweek, the board will meet today to decide on its restructuring plan after its recent two tragedies in the last five months, with its plane being shot down in Ukraine and another vanishing enroute to Beijing.The future of MAS has hung in the balance since, with talks of options to bankrupt the airline or change its name.Shares have fallen 23% this year.
