Mah Sing Group has unveiled its first Chinese New Year music video titled "May You Be Blessed With The Home Of Your Dreams". Its title in Chinese - 美好家园“鼠”于你 - has a play on words where the Chinese character of "belongs" is replaced with the word "rat", in celebration of the year of the rat. The unveiling of the music video is in conjunction with the launch of the company's recent "Homes of Prosperity" campaign.
The music video features Malaysian veteran singer, Crystal Liew with special appearance by Hong Kong’s actor and Mah Sing’s brand ambassador, Eric Tsang. The song was composed by homegrown music composer and lyricist, Tee Kok Leong, who is also known as one of the panel judges in the Astro Classic Golden Melody singing competition. This is Mah Sing's second time collaborating with Tee.
The song is said to highlight the "best qualities" of Chinese New Year, such as prosperity, wealth, happiness, and the true meaning of owning an ideal home.
Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Leong Hoy Kum, Mah Sing’s founder and group managing director, said it is "extremely excited" to unveil the music video, which features Mah Sing's own employees of diverse ethnicity. The video also highlights the property company's key projects. According to Leong, the music video was filmed at various Mah Sing's sales galleries and show units such as Southville City in KL South, M Oscar in Off Kuchai Lama, M Arisa in Sentul, and M Aruna in Rawang.
"With [Tee's] experience and expertise, he highlighted the best of the Malaysian Chinese culture, which was reflected in the song lyrics. The main objective of the video is to promote the importance of union of families and fostering deeper relationship with our loved ones in this truly blessed festivity", he added.
In addition, Mah Sing has also come up with its own red packets for Chinese New Year. The red packets has floral and mice designs, and features the music video title "May You Be Blessed With The Home Of Your Dreams’ (美好家园“鼠”于你)". It is also equipped with a customised QR code for direct access to the music video and Mah Sing's Homes of Prosperity campaign page.
