lululemon has launched its first flagship store in Seoul, Korea. Located in Gangnam, at the heart of Seoul, the new flagship spans more than 9,000 square feet across three floors. The flagship represents the debut of of lululemon’s new creative expression in Asia Pacific.
To celebrate the grand opening, Monsta X’s Shownu and lululemon ambassador Amotti joined as special guests, wearing pieces from lululemon’s iconic products. Their looks brought the brand’s vision of versatile, performance-driven apparel to life—effortlessly blending technical innovation with everyday style.
The brand's new store design concept rooted in movement, connection and sensory engagement, setting the blueprint for the future of lululemon retail. A breadth of considered structural materials and colour palette are designed to take guests on a journey through the store, and pay homage to lululemon’s roots in the Pacific Northwest.
Furthermore, the store is wrapped in custom 3D-printed recycled materials, inspired by the design lines of some of lululemon’s most iconic products. Notable elements include bespoke terrazzo floors, a hand-formed tile staircase, and hand-carved timber joinery, while the staircase has a fully immersive lighting installation which reflects the atmospheric hues of the Pacific Northwest sky.
“Korea is one of the fastest-growing markets in our APAC portfolio, and this flagship store is a strategic investment in a market that continues to show strong momentum, driven by a vibrant community and increasing demand for premium activewear,” said Gareth Pope, senior vice president, lululemon, Asia Pacific.
“We’re excited to continue expanding our footprint in Korea with new store formats, community activations, and localised product assortments. We’re committed to deepening our connection with Korean guests through tailored experiences, exclusive offerings, and ongoing innovation in both digital and physical retail," Pope added.
The Gangnam flagship introduces a dedicated men’s floor, offering an extensive range of products designed to support an active lifestyle—whether for training, travel, or everyday movement.
With the addition of the Gangnam flagship, lululemon now operates 23 stores across Korea, including locations in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Busan, Daejeon, and Daegu. The Gangnam flagship is lululemon’s first flagship store in Asia and the brand’s fourth street-front store in Seoul, following Cheongdam, Itaewon, and Myeong-dong.
