McDonald’s Singapore has launched a new campaign to spread awareness that the fast food giant is now offering slices of apples and low calorie-high calcium milk as part of its Happy Meals options in the menu. Its new mascot for wholesome food and beverage choices for kids, “Happy”, was launched as a three-dimensional advertisement on four SBS Transit single-deck buses. These buses ply locations such as Suntec City, West Coast, Kallang, Ang Mo Kio and Jurong East where McDonald’s selected family-oriented restaurants are located. These 1.2 metre-wide 3D structures, made mostly from fiberglass, were fabricated by leading Out-of-Home (OOH) media owner, Moove Media in a total of six weeks.Jayne Kwek, CEO of Moove Media said: “When we were asked to help bring ‘Happy’ to life, we immediately came up with a 3D installation. Such 3D structures not only create immediate impact with the audience, but will also go a long way in building public awareness.”Ginger Soon, assistant marketing manager of McDonald’s Singapore said: “This is an innovative way to introduce a brand new character to the public.  Together with bus hangers, interior panels and wholly wrapped bus exterior, we are able to deliver the campaign’s message to commuters in a clear and engaging manner."(Read also: How people are responding to McD’s freaky kids’ mascot)
