The brilliant folks at IKEA Singapore strike again.
While the whole world raves about the recent Apple products and of course the advancements in the digital world, IKEA Singapore shows how traditional pen and paper still hold on to an old world charm. On its Facebook page, the Swedish furniture chain put up this post:
The post was obviously a pun of the recently announced Apple Pencil for the iPad Pro. Posted on Friday night, the post already has over 3,300 shares and over 6,500 likes at the time of writing.
This is not the first time IKEA Singapore has taken a swipe (pun intended) at the digital world and its products. Earlier this year, IKEA launched a new ad campaign to counter the notion of the print medium dying. In its spot to promote its 2015 catalogue, IKEA positioned its book in a way tech devices have often been promoted.
“It’s not a digital book, or an e-book. It’s a book book,” said the on screen character. The creative agency behind IKEA Singapore’s advertising is BBH Asia Pacific.

Once again, hilarious and brilliant IKEA Singapore.
