LG Electronics Malaysia names badminton champion Lee Zii Jia as ambassador

Home appliance manufacturer, LG Electronics Malaysia has partnered with badminton ace Lee Zii Jia as its new LG Brand Ambassador to promote its diverse line of innovative products. The partnership aims at promoting a healthy and convenience-centric lifestyle to consumers, with a focus on LG home appliances, home entertainment and LG PuriCare, among others, according to an official release. 

As an ambassador, Lee will promote various LG products, including the LG Styler, LG WashTower, LG PuriCare Water Purifier, LG InstaView Refrigerator, LG OLED evo TV, LG SoundBar Speaker and LG PuriCare Air Purifier.

Justin Choi, the managing director of LG Electronics Malaysia, said that the partnership with Lee represents the brand's commitment to elevating consumers' lifestyles through cutting-edge technologies and products. With the tagline "Live Smarter, Go Higher," LG aims to collaborate with Lee to raise awareness on living a quality life.

"I believe that LG's products put focus on health, hygiene and convenience - which are the three pillars I live by. I am both grateful and honored to be joining hands with LG to lead the lifestyle that I want and one that will undoubtedly boost my professional life as well,” said Lee.

Having Lee as part of the larger LG family is also pivotal to the brand's values. As an ambassador, he will promote healthy and hygienic lifestyles to consumers as a whole, the release said.

On a more innovative front, LG Electronics launched its very own non-fungible token (NFT) platform, LG Art Lab, late last year. The platform is available in the U.S. on the company’s TVs running webOS 5.0 or later, and accessible directly from the home screen. The new platform enables users to buy, sell and enjoy high-quality digital artwork. 

A convenient, one-stop solution for viewing and trading NFTs at home, the platform also includes the LG Art Lab Drops feature, which profiles artists and previews new works coming soon to the platform. Meanwhile, the real-time Live Drops countdown ensures users never miss an opportunity to acquire a ‘just dropped’ NFT.
