Leo Burnett appoints new Hong Kong managing director

Leo Burnett Hong Kong has promoted Jeff Ho to the managing director role for Leo Burnett Hong Kong, effective this May, two months after former CEO Alex Lee left the agency.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Ho started his first job at Leo Burnett Hong Kong after graduating from university. Today, he is a 20-year plus Leo Burnett veteran, having worked in Hong Kong, Sydney, Tokyo, and Guangzhou offices during different phases of his career.

He was managing director of Leo Burnett Guangzhou from 2007 to 2014 after which he returned to the Hong Kong office to take on the role of regional director for international business.

In his new role, Ho will report to Michael Lee, CEO of Publicis Communications Greater China.

“There is no person who understands the ups and downs of Leo Burnett Hong Kong better, and no person could be more suitable for this position and more dedicated to the mission of leading Leo Burnett Hong Kong into a new golden era,” said Lee.

Meanwhile, Henry Yip, former head of digital for Leo Burnett Hong Kong, who left the agency in February, has moved to a new role as COO of cloud-based POS system startup Eats365.
