Leo Burnett Asia Pacific has appointed Oscar Oomens as regional business development director.
Oomens, who will be based out of Singapore for his new role, was most recently managing partner of Leo Burnett Moscow. He will report to Jarek Ziebinski, CEO and chairman of Leo Burnett Asia Pacific.
Ziebinski said with expansion of the Leo Burnett network in the APAC region and the extensive growth opportunities here, the agency has gained a lot of experience working together last year when Oomens was supporting the team from Singapore on Samsung global AOR pitch.
“His new role will be split between global and regional accounts. With 18 years of international experience in building integrated communication teams and global brands, Oscar is one of the rare marketing professionals who could truly claim to have lived and worked across all continents. More impressively, he has continuously created success along the way in markets including Russia and Latin America,” Ziebinski added.
Meanwhile, Leo Burnett Singapore has seen a slew of changes recently. Josh Grace managing director of the agency recently exited the role. Meanwhile, Chris Chiu was also appointed to head up Leo Burnett’s Singapore office as CCO. Chiu replaced Tim Green who left late last year.
