Lazada Singapore has appointed Mutant Communications as its PR agency. The digital retailer claims to help more than 80,000 local and international sellers - including Alibaba’s Taobao Collection and 2,500 brands - serve millions of consumers across the region.
This comes following a pitch, where Lazada was looking for an agency to grow “several commercial categories and hitting key objectives for 2018”.
Jason Huan, chief marketing officer, Lazada Singapore, said: “Mutant's portfolio of past clients, as well as their understanding of the dynamic and fast-moving nature of our industry, gave us assurance that they can keep abreast of industry developments. We look forward to tapping into their expertise to develop strategies that will deepen our engagement with customers and sellers.”
Lazada Singapore joins Mutant’s client portfolio following the addition of multiple brand development and content marketing clients in recent months, including Zendesk, Food Japan, Elements Global Services and The Loco Group.
Mutant Communications’ CEO, Joseph Barratt, said: “Our push to integrate content marketing, digital and PR has resulted in a string of new business wins consisting of clients who are keen to move beyond traditional strategies to get real business results."
"The evolving media landscape means you’ve got to do things differently now - thankfully, we have been beefing up our content marketing capabilities for years to bolster our efforts. We’re thrilled so many clients see the real value of this, and we are excited to be working with a number of fantastic brands,” he added.
