Lazada Group has appointed MediaCom as its media partner in Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. The scope covers offline media planning and buying and the contract commenced on 1 August 2022.
Josh Gallagher, COO MediaCom APAC said, it is thrilled to partner with Lazada. "Bringing MediaCom’s scaled excellence to a brand that reaches so many consumers every day in Southeast Asia is incredibly exciting. Our people are up for the challenge of accelerating growth in the region and look forward to bringing our team’s high energy to the fast-paced Lazada team," he added. MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out to Lazada for additional information.
Lazada is currently working with UM for regional media duties covering Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand, encompassing strategy, planning, buying, research, and data and analytics. The agency was appointed in 2020 due to its professionalism, competitiveness and its ability to transform media excellence into real business results.
This appointment comes after Lazada refreshed its brand proposition in June. "Add to Cart. Add to Life." recognises that shoppers no longer simply buy products for functional purposes. This new brand proposition is said by Lazada to reflect its belief that eCommerce can add to the lives of consumers by inspiring meaningful connections and memorable experiences with their purchases. The brand campaign is currently running in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. It also runs across mediums including a 30-second film, OOH, a series of key visuals, influencer engagement, topical social media activation, and other creative executions.
