LAB acquires E-Prospect, names Evelyn Chin as MD of LAB Displays

Boutique consulting group, LAB has acquired E-Prospect, a company that specialises in signage production to strengthen its signage consulting arm at the same time, LAB has also appointed Evelyn Chin (pictured) as the managing director of LAB Displays in order to "ensure LAB Displays thrives after this acquisition."LAB's spokesperson said in a statement to A+M, "This (acquisition) is aimed at enhancing LAB Displays’ core service offerings whilst retaining production quality control." Chin will report to Dato’ Andrew Yong, group executive director of LAB group.LAB Displays was inaugurated to provide design, wayfinding and signage consulting services. Over the years, business had grown organically to a point where the production facility could not keep up with their clients demand, the company added.E-Prospect has been in the market for over seven years. Its production facility currently serves clients such as BRDB, Daewoo, Great Eastern, Labuan Marina Centre, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Subang Skypark, Volkswagen, KLIA and Subang Jaya Medical Centre. This corporate exercise will result in merging both companies to form a stronger management team for LAB Displays, to keep up with clients’ demand.“As providing innovative designs and high quality production finishes at a low price has always been the main point of differentiation for LAB Displays, the natural step was to acquire and enhance our management team and production facilities, to cater to our clients’ requirements and retain quality control over the output," Yong, said.Yong also said the company had been in numerous negotiations over the past 12 months, "However, E-Prospect was the only company who understood quality the same way we did, as our objective is to always deliver the highest quality at the lowest price possible to our clients. It was an obvious choice.”On Chin's appointment, Yong said, "Chin has been in the signage industry for over 20 years. With her wealth of experience in the signage industry, we are confident that Chin will add tremendous value to our clients.”LAB group provides a range of management consulting services.
