Kurush Madon joins Havas Ortega to lead Ecselis in Manila

Havas Ortega recently appointed Kurush Madon, who has a decade of experience in digital marketing and dealing with international clients, to head Ecselis, the results-driven division of the agency.

Madon brings with him ten years’ worth of experience in digital marketing, including in SEO, SEM and Analytics and French Specialization at Google, AOL, and IBM. Madon is also fluent in French.

So you are in for an interesting conversation when you ask him: “Comment ça va?” (“How are you?” in French). “I went to France at a very impressionable age - I was 12. France, with its fast cars and modern buildings, was a thing of awe. I loved Paris: the baguettes, the lovely old school architecture that blended seamlessly with the new, the weather, and of course, the language. I always had an affinity to learn French and it was a language I naturally picked up without effort. I’ve gone back to visit a few times and each time is nostalgic bliss.”

Before moving to the Philippines to join Havas Ortega, Madon worked on both client and supplier sides. Most recently, as Manager in Presales and Solution Design at Wipro, offering digital marketing capabilities and services to top tier Retail, Manufacturing, and Hi-Tech clients.

As Deputy Manager and Digital Specialist at IBM, Madon worked on the client side, partnering with an agency for all digital marketing efforts, as well as worked with a team to create a roadmap and process for their digital campaigns. At AOL India, as a Search Engine Marketing Analyst, he was the sole point of contact for all the Search Engine Marketing (SEM) for the whole of AOL France—frequently traveling to the City of Lights to coordinate with colleagues.

At Google, Madon worked on the platform side (AdWords and Google Analytics), offering an advertising platform to advertisers and agencies. He was even chosen to represent Google India in the International Sales Conference at the Google headquarters in Mountain View, California, USA.

Madon is excited to work in the dynamic Havas Village—while studying towards getting his diploma in French at the Alliance Francaise: “I have my moments of homesickness. I miss the sense of familiar and the people I've left behind. But I've come in to a friendly colorful office, where people are happy to help at a moment’s notice and take pains to make me feel welcome and at home. The sheer talent and passion I see on display at work everyday makes me confident that we can overcome any challenge with a team that thinks of itself as a big family. I haven't had enough time to explore all the beautiful beaches and other sights I've heard so much about, but I do love everything about the city I've seen.”
