Juliana Nguyen helms group CMO role at Lazada

Lazada has appointed Juliana Nguyen (pictured) to the role of group chief marketing officer, responsible for the overall leadership of the business and marketing function across the region. Currently, Lazada is present in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

Prior to the role, Nguyen was the regional brand marketing director for Airbnb. Nguyen first joined Airbnb as head of marketing for APAC in 2016, replacing Matthias Schuecking before progressing to a regional brand marketing director.

According to her LinkedIn, Nguyen also worked with Nike as its marketing director for approximately six years and was based in Melbourne, Australia. Also a member of the senior leadership team in Nike Pacific, she was responsible for the growth of digital communities, grassroots and major event executions in the running and women’s categories.

Prior to her role in Nike, Nguyen helmed the role as managing director at TBWA/Worldwide based in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. In her two years and six months in TBWA/Worldwide, she worked on the overall management of the business, handling operations, finance, recruitment, development and many more.

Previously, Nguyen also worked with French beverage company, Pernod Ricard as its regional marketing director and was based in Hong Kong. In over four years with the company, she managed the portfolio of global spirits brands in the Duty Free channel across the Asia region. In addition, Nguyen was in-charge of re-structuring, centralising and expanding the Asia regional marketing operations in a bid to deliver consistency and coherency in brand strategy and communication.
