Joseph Schooling named new brand ambassador for Yakult

Yakult has inked a deal with Joseph Schooling as its brand ambassador until 2020. The partnership will see Schooling and Yakult working together to promote the health benefits of probiotics, and to inspire the community to strive towards excellence through a healthy lifestyle.

Following the partnership, Schooling will be featured in Yakult's marketing campaign across different media platforms including TV, print and social media. The partnership was arranged and will be managed by Dentsu Sports Asia, the press statement read.

“The Yakult family has watched Schooling grow up from an aspiring young swimmer to become a true champion that he is today. Not only is he a remarkable athlete, his humility and strong family values resonates with Yakult Singapore’s humble beginnings and core values,” Kiyotaka Sakurai, managing director of Yakult Singapore said.

He added that Yakult Singapore has always been a strong supporter of Singapore’s swimming activities and it made sense for the brand to extend its support to Schooling in inspiring the next generation of Singapore swimmers and athletes.

“Growing up, Yakult has always been a staple in our home and even during my stay in the US. I’m extremely happy to partner a brand that shares the same values as I believe in – health and family unity," Schooling added.

Earlier this month, ONE Championship had appointed Schooling as an ambassador, which will see him exclusively promoting ONE Championship sporting events. The deal came shortly after The Schooling Company had appointed Dentsu Sports Asia as its commercial partner.

In addition, DBS had stuck a three-year partnership with the swimmer till 2020, which sees both parties reaching out to next-generation Singaporeans through a series of community activities and social media engagements. Furthermore, Hugo Boss had chosen Schooling as its first Singapore BOSS ambassador following the swimmer's journey into a professional career.
