Jollibee unveils redesigned app, taps Big Brother winners as newest faces

Jollibee, the Philippines’ most recognisable fast-food name, has launched a newly redesigned delivery app as part of its continued investment in digital consumer engagement. The update, which comes with new features and user-centric design, aims to simplify ordering while boosting customer loyalty through exclusive in-app rewards.

Unveiled on 28 July at an immersive event in Whitespace Makati, the launch was both a tech moment and a brand experience. Attendees explored interactive features through gamified installations meant to mirror the new app’s smoother interface and practical design.

More than a surface refresh, the reimagined Jollibee App signals the brand’s intent to embed itself more deeply in the day-to-day digital behaviour of Filipino consumers.

“The all-new Jollibee App was designed with our customers’ needs and lifestyles in mind. We know they value convenience and great deals, so we made sure the app delivers exactly that, plus the fun and joy Jollibee is known for,” said Charisse Sumulong, marketing director for digital commerce and loyalty, as quoted by BusinessMirror.

“From streamlining the ordering process to offering sulit deals and promos, we want every user to feel how easy and exciting it is to order their Jollibee favourites anytime, anywhere,” Sumulong added.

The company is also doubling down on its cultural capital by naming two emerging Filipino celebrities as ambassadors for the app: Brent Manalo and Mika Salamanca, both winners of the reality show Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition. The decision taps into the energy of youth fan culture while making the brand more visible in digital entertainment spaces.

“Sobrang excited kami ni Mika na maging ambassadors ng all-new Jollibee App (Mika and I are super excited to be ambassadors of the all-new Jollibee App),” said Manalo. “Blessed kami na makakuha ng ganitong opportunity (We feel blessed to have been given this kind of opportunity), and we’re very excited to order, too!”

The app is now live on the Google Play Store and App Store. To drive trial and adoption, Jollibee is offering a suite of time-limited app-exclusive perks.

Jollibee recently launched the “Bida Best, Bida Pinoy” campaign, celebrating Filipino excellence with eight global ambassadors from diverse fields including sports, science, and the arts.

Among them are Pia Wurtzbach, Hidilyn Diaz, EJ Obiena, and Dr. Reina Reyes. Beyond featuring their achievements, the campaign includes a series of “Bida Best Talks” where each ambassador shares personal stories around resilience, authenticity, and national pride.
