Global brand experience agency Jack Morton has appointed Phil Boyle as SVP, managing director. Based in Singapore at the agency's Asia headquarters, Boyle (pictured) will be responsible for driving growth across the entire Asia region.
Boyle rejoins Jack Morton after a stint at entertainment company Live Nation, where he served as vice president of marketing partnerships for Asia at the companyâs Shanghai operation. Prior to that, Boyle assumed the position of SVP, client services for Asia at Jack Morton, working across multiple industries ranging from automotive to entertainment.
In his new role, he will move to Singapore and champion innovative brand experience work for client brands including Unilever, Meta, Riot Games, HSBC, among others. Additionally, he will continue to promote collaboration across IPG agencies in the market. According to Jack Morton, the appointment will help bolster the leadership of its operation in Asia. Boyle will report to Julian Pullan, vice chairman and president of Jack Morton International.
"Extraordinary work that makes people think, feel, and act excites me. Iâm incredibly passionate about it, so Iâm looking forward to getting back into the experience game,â said Boyle. He explained that returning to Jack Morton feels like he is coming home, where the team and agency culture is exceptional. "Iâm thrilled to once again be a part of their epic journey to reimagine what a brand experience can be," he added.
According to Pullan, the marketplace in Asia has faced unprecedented challenges over the last couple of years, thus helping brands navigate the landscape and find the best channels to reach their audience is critical right now. "Boyle is the right leader to help guide our clients and teams. He understands the nuances of all the local markets â from China to Southeast Asia - and has the breadth of expertise and the strategic vision to drive growth. Not to mention that he's a team player who embodies our core values of passion, agility, and respect at every turn," he explained.
Jack Morton Singapore serves as the Asian hub for its clients, leading operations out of the country and leveraging talent across countries to offer clients a more seamless experience, the agency said. According to the agency's website, Jack Morton has worked with brands such as ebay, Nike, Subway, Samsung, Google, and Procter and Gamble, among others. Additionally, the agency also said on its website that it averages 10,000 event activation days per year across the globe, with 3.5 billion people experiencing its live events.
Meanwhile, Jack Morton appointed Austin Powers to the role of APAC lead and strategy director for its innovation practice Genuine X in 2019. Additionally, he oversaw strategy for the Singapore office. Powers also helped clients across the region create extraordinary experiences by harnessing the opportunities presented at the intersection of emerging technology, content and data. Based in Singapore, Powers reported to Charles Robinson, SVP, MD at Jack Morton Singapore, and Damian Ferrar, global head of Genuine X.
