ION Orchard turns race week into a retail playground

ION Orchard is leaning into Formula 1 fever with a series of race-inspired activations spanning beauty, fashion, lifestyle and motorsport, as Singapore gears up for race season.

Across the mall, brands including Estée Lauder, ELEMIS, VETRESKA, Visa, TUDOR and HUGO are tapping into the racing moment with interactive experiences, exclusive products and appearances by Formula 1 drivers.

Estée Lauder has rolled out its "Beauty express", an ION-exclusive personalised beauty pit stop featuring "The ready check", an in-depth skin analysis, alongside its new 'Advanced night repair recovery treatment essence'. Visitors can also customise their own "Beauty express" clicker as part of the activation.

ELEMIS, meanwhile, is putting a skincare spin on the pit stop with a race-inspired experience featuring an LED helmet mask with light therapy. Visitors can also take on the Singapore precision track game, designed to test their focus and precision.

The racing theme extends beyond beauty. Pet lifestyle brand VETRESKA has taken over ION² with a motorsport-inspired pop-up featuring race-ready installations and the Singapore debut of its circuit collection.

Haas F1 driver and VETRESKA global brand partner Ollie Bearman appeared at the pop-up on 6 October, alongside a pet fashion runway.

Elsewhere, Visa, TUDOR and HUGO have teamed up for "The trackside", giving shoppers an up-close look at the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls VCARB 03 show car. The activation also includes a racing simulator and reaction challenge, alongside TUDOR watches and HUGO x VCARB Formula One teamwear.

Visa Cash App Racing Bulls drivers Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad will make an appearance at ION Orchard on 7 October. Fans who completed a stamp rally between 1 and 5 October will also stand a chance to score a photo opportunity with the two drivers.

Together, the activations see ION Orchard tapping into Singapore's Formula 1 buzz beyond the circuit, using the race season as a platform for brands across categories to create physical experiences and bring fans closer to the sport.

MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out for more information.

ION Orchard's activations come as brands and F1 teams increasingly look beyond the circuit to turn Singapore's race week into a broader lifestyle and cultural moment. Audi Revolut F1 Team, for example, is taking its Formula 1 presence across food, fashion, retail, community sport and entertainment in Singapore with "The art of influence". The programme brings together the team's global partners and local businesses to give fans ways to engage with the team without requiring a race ticket or paddock access.

At the centre of the initiative is a digital hub where fans can register and collect digital team cards by visiting participating locations, taking part in activities and engaging with campaign content online.
