Independent media and performance agency Intender has restructured its leadership team and opened a Melbourne office following a major client win with AMES Australasia.

Co-founder and chief financial officer Morgan Ohren has been promoted to managing director, with head of operations Zoe Young stepping up to general manager. Founder Phil Ohren has formally taken the CEO title, moving from founder and strategist.

The restructure comes as Intender secures AMES and its portfolio of home improvement brands, including Hills, Cyclone, Nylex and Northcote Pottery. Until now the agency has been based in Noosa, Queensland.

Ohren said the expansion reflects growing demand for Intender’s approach, which combines data, media and creativity to drive growth.

“Our growth has been fuelled by clients who believe in our vision, and this leadership structure sets us up to scale with even greater impact,” he said.

Morgan Ohren said the restructure created “clear responsibilities and complementary skills” at the top of the business, while Young emphasised her focus on building a high-performance culture as the agency grows.

Intender positions itself on “making advertising useful, not annoying,” powered by proprietary intent and interest technology that decodes behavioural signals to reduce waste and deliver audience-first media experiences.
