Integral Ad Science (IAS) has appointed Tony Marlow (pictured) as chief marketing officer, effective 29 April 2019. Based in New York, Marlow will report directly to CEO Lisa Utzschneider.
In his new role, he will spearhead market growth initiatives and drive both marketing and communication strategy globally for the verification technology company. Marlow joins IAS from data company Infogroup where he last helmed the role as CMO. Prior to Infogroup, he was the global head and vice president of B2B marketing for Yahoo, overseeing B2B marketing, product marketing, sales learning, and sales insights.
Before joining Yahoo, Marlow was with Nielsen’s online division in an APAC-focused role. With Nielsen, he worked with global clients such as Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, and Facebook.
Lisa Utzschneider, CEO, IAS said the company has ambitious goals and Marlow’s passion for data and storytelling makes him the “ideal leader”for this role.
“Throughout his career, Marlow has been a true translator of complex ideas and data into meaningful messages for brands and advertisers. We are thrilled to have him on board to lead the development of those stories on behalf of IAS,” she added.
Marlow said IAS is poised to be the “independent super-conduit” that powers the highest standards of effectiveness and helps marketers everywhere exceed their goals.
“I’m beyond excited to join IAS as its chief marketer at such a critical and exciting juncture for our industry. Now more than ever, it is imperative for brands to make authentic connections with real people in safe environments. I couldn’t be happier to be working with Utzschneider and the world-class team at IAS to achieve all of this and more,” he added.
