Indosat Ooredoo is reminding Indonesians about the importance of staying united during tough times. In conjunction with the nation's Independence Day, the brand created a new rendition of Iwan Fals’ classic Satu-Satu (One by One) from 1992 in the video. The 2021 version featured Iwan Fals himself, together with younger Indonesian musicians; Hindia, Rendy Pandugo, and Petra Sihombing.

Fahroni Arifin, Indosat Ooredoo's SVP brand management and strategy, said the country's fight for independence was 350 years long and the people managed to win it by coming together.

"When we decided we are more than just a sum of 1300 plus ethnicities with more than 800 different languages, we prevailed. This time with the pandemic is no different. In times like these, it’s very easy to get divided," he explained. Regardless of age or background, Fahroni stressed the importance of unity.

Meanwhile, Mata Angin's chief creative officer, Yohannes Muliady, said the brand is a big believer in the power of connection. "And to deliver the message of unity, what better connection but the collaboration between Iwan Fals, himself a living legend, with the brightest young musicians working in Indonesia today. Their cross-generational effort is a testament of our ability to unite," Yohannes said.

Meanwhile, film director Raesaka Yunus said: "The video and its choreography were inspired by the nature of unity. Unity is a dance of life. It is connecting all of us and it is always in the flow." This is the fifth video done in partnership with Indosat Ooredoo, Mata Angin and Raesaka. According to the brand, the previous four works garnered more than 430 million views on YouTube including 127 million for the brand's 2021 Ramadan campaign.
