The Walt Disney Company has tied up with Indonesian grocery retailer Matahari Putra Prima (MPPA) for a campaign titled “Discover Disney at Hypermart”, which will feature product packaging inspired by Disney and Pixar characters for fresh produce and bakery items, among others, across all Hypermart, Primo, Foodmart, and Hyfresh stores.
To enhance the shopping experience, consumers can also expect to engage with Disney-branded products from FMCG suppliers across all MPPA stores. To kick-off the campaign and celebrate Christmas and the year end holiday, MPPA also rolled out the “Discover Disney Holiday Magic at Hypermart” promotional campaign, which will offer 10 families comprising four members a special holiday package to Hong Kong Disneyland. The lucky draw will run until 15 January 2020.
CEO of MPPA Elliot J. Dickson said some Hypermart and Foodmart locations will introduce in-store Disney-branded corners to deliver the ultimate Disney experience in the near future.
“We will be offering assortments of attractive, high quality Disney products available for our valued customers and will be continuously adding new characters from Disney and Pixar over the course of the next 12 months,” Dickson said.
Meanwhile, Amanda Dhalluin, executive director of consumer product commercialisation, The Walt Disney Company Indonesia, said through its collaboration with Hypermart, it aims to give Disney fans a range of locally relevant products and unique experiences to connect with their favourite Disney stories and characters.
