Indonesian D2C eyewear brand SATURDAYS has launched its app to offer an online-to-offline shopping experiences for consumers. The app touts a seamless booking experience for the home try-on service that brings licenced opticians, vision tests, and frames to the comfort of one’s home. Through the app, customers are able to book a home try-on date, pick 10 frames of their choice to try and choose an appointment address, as well as select a specialty coffee. According to SATURDAYS, its home try-on strategy is inspired by US eyewear unicorn Warby Parker.

Additionally, the app showcases SATURDAYS’ full collection of designer quality eyewear, in which customers can shop, save frames to wishlist, purchase online and pick up at store and checkout with multiple payment options, including buy now pay later.

Aside from the app, SATURDAYS is also expanding its physical footprint, featuring lifestyle stores blending eyewear in a modern cafe that serves specialty Arabica coffee and fresh baked artisan cookies. The brand currently operates eight stores in the Greater Jakarta Area and plans to expand to more Indonesian cities in the coming years. MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out to SATURDAYS for additional information.

SATURDAYS offers eyewear products designed to fit Asian consumers. It was founded in 2016 by Rama Suparta and Andrew Kandolha and aims to disrupt the conventional eyewear industry and bring fresh, convenient omnichannel experiences through its app, home try-on service and lifestyle stores.

Last year, it received an early-stage funding from local and regional venture capital firms Alpha JWC Ventures, Kinesys Group, and Alto Partners to accelerate expansion and strengthen its tech-enabled omnichannel experience.

According to Suparta, the brand aims to inspire consumer confidence by creating authentic, lifestyle eyewear that is affordable and convenient. "We also want to provide an unmatched experience for customers, who have been accustomed to shopping for eyewear in dull, conventional manners. We will keep innovating our products and services to become the dominant market leader in Indonesia," he added.
