As part of its marketing activities leading up to the launch of its 2013 Catalogue later this month, Ikea has created giant pop up rooms in its stores.
Until August 29, the furniture store has come up with a series of activities including running a digital contest on Facebook to drum up anticipation for its annual catalogue.
It will create giant pop up cardboard rooms, called its Countdown Rooms, which will change their themes daily, from ‘living’ to ‘kitchen’ or ‘children’s rooms’. These will be available in the Tampines and Alexandra stores until the launch of the catalogue on 30 August.
Meanwhile, online, customers can check out the changes going on in the rooms at all times.
A digital contest is also running on Ikea’s Facebook page inviting customers to send in their favourite moments spent at home using pictures, videos and text to win furniture Ikea will give out daily over the next nine days.
