HPB urges the public to stay positive

Action for AIDS partnered with the Health Promotion Board to launch its latest campaign against the stigma and discrimination that HIV patients face.Titled 'Be Positive', the collaterals include personal stories of HIV patients along with the experiences of healthcare professionals who have worked with HIV patients. The campaign aims to reach out to the public and promote early detection of the disease which may delay the onset of HIV.The campaign which runs until the end of March 2013 was created by Iris. The media agency responsible for it was Carat.A TVC has also been produced for Action for AIDS, along with print and online executions, depicting the impact a supportive family and friends circle can have at one going for testing.Tan Tock Seng Hospital is the first local hospital to launch the campaign with an array of posters, stickers and banners being placed around the hospital.Health Promotion Board (HPB) appointed Iris and BBH for its HIV/AIDS public awareness campaign in July this year. The contract is slated for a year with an option to renew for the following year.
