HPB hunts for new marketing lead

Health Promotion Board is looking to appoint a director of corporate marketing and communications division.

The role was last held by Cassandra Tay, who joined the role in November 2013, replacing Vernon Vasu. HPB has declined to comment on Tay’s role.

According to the job posting seen by Marketing, the board is looking for a highly experienced marketer to head its corporate marketing and communications division - listing requirements for  15 years of working experience in marketing, public relations, advertising and brand management related roles.

As director of corporate marketing and communications division, he or she will be required to set the strategic direction for all of the government agency's marketing and communications strategies.

The role also requires experience in consumer insight and research to develop a framework to understand the drivers of Singaporeans’ motivation for good health.

Other requirements include experience in developing integrated marketing strategies and use of various media and extensive on-the-ground activation tools and incentives to directly engage and motivate individuals and communities to embrace healthy living; establish effective communications to reach out to multiple communities and stakeholders and develop a best-in-class health literacy framework to be applied across all HPB outreach channels.

Currently HPB is in the midst of settling its pitch looking for a media agency. The pitch was first called in early 2013 but was left unsettled.
