How Lalamove and Tealive are raising a cup to Merdeka

Lalamove is getting into the Merdeka spirit with a new campaign offering Malaysians free Tealive drinks delivered to their doorstep.
Dubbed "Sip, sip, Lalamove", the campaign kicks off on 17 August and gives new and existing Lalamove users in Malaysia the chance to redeem a bundle of two Tealive lychee drink National Day edition beverages.
The campaign marks the on-demand delivery platform's first initiative of its kind and sees it partner with homegrown beverage brand Tealive as part of its Merdeka and Malaysia Day celebrations.

The promotion is available through 24 participating Tealive outlets across Malaysia, spanning Johor, Klang Valley, Malacca, Penang and Kuching, within Lalamove's existing delivery coverage. Alongside the Tealive giveaway, Lalamove is also rolling out a delivery promotion for the Merdeka period.
"At Lalamove, we believe in celebrating the everyday moments that bring Malaysians together, and what better way to mark Merdeka than with a tribute to a beloved homegrown brand like Tealive," said Jane Teh, managing director of Lalamove Malaysia.
She added, "The campaign 'Sip, sip, Lalamove' is our way of saying terima kasih to our community, rewarding their loyalty while making it effortless to support local businesses. It reflects our commitment to not just delivering convenience, but also connection and pride in what makes Malaysia special."

The Merdeka push follows Lalamove Malaysia's earlier efforts to tap into the country's festive calendar through locally rooted campaigns. Earlier this year, the platform rolled out two separate festive music videos to mark the rare convergence of Chinese New Year and Ramadan in 2026, using a shared musical concept to reflect Malaysia's multicultural fabric.
While distinct in their execution, both films were built around the same melody and rhythm, reworked to suit each celebration. Produced by local music talents Jyin Poh, Sara Heng, Kopi Lim and Eric Ooi, the videos shifted from an upbeat Chinese New Year sound to a more reflective Ramadan interpretation, with each featuring its own 60-second jingle.
