Social media management platform Hootsuite has appointed Penny Wilson (pictured)Â as its new chief marketing officer.
Wilson will lead Hootsuiteâs global marketing organisation and help drive the growth of its customer base of more than ten million users. She will be based at the companyâs headquarters in Vancouver.
Wilson has more than 30 years of experience as a senior marketing and operations executive at large enterprise technology companies. She served as CMO for Juniper Networks where her focus on developing the companyâs cross portfolio solutions, establishing clear customer value and ensuring a consistent global brand helped transform Juniperâs market strategy from technology-driven into customer-driven.
Wilson also served as CMO at Macromedia where she led the companyâs worldwide marketing efforts up to and through Macromediaâs successful US$3.4 billion acquisition by Adobe Systems.
