"There exist no boundaries between the brand and our consumers, and for that, I would like to express my appreciation," Zhao said. He added that Malaysia is a beautiful country with "lovely people and great food".
Meanwhile, he also specially expressed his appreciation towards a loyal Malaysian fan named Wira Hidayat, who surprised him with a gift of the honor 3C, enclosed in a handmade wooden frame during the launch of the honor 10 in May 2018.
The honour 3C was the brand's first smartphone introduced to the Malaysian market back in 2014. Zhao said that he still remembers the gift and will keep it with him always as it means a lot to him and is one of the most "sincere" gifts he has ever received. In addition, Zhao also sent the fan a "Thank You" letter, along with exclusive honor gifts.
Honor is currently present in Asia Pacific countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand, as well as Middle East and Latin America. In July this year, it launched its official e-commerce platform and information portal known as hihonor, which looks to connect fans and customers under one platform and also make the brand’s products more accessible. The smartphone e-brand also tied up with Lazada Malaysia in March this year to continue its ongoing offerings in the e-commerce space.
