Smartphone brand HONOR has unveiled a new campaign for its latest phone series Magic8 Pro, highlighting the creative potential of night photography through striking visuals and engaging storytelling.
Positioned as a top-tier model, the Magic8 Pro aims to transform nighttime photography with a comprehensive suite of AI imaging technologies, including a 200MP ultra night telephoto, film-level AI magic colour tuning, and “AiMAGE” ultra night engine for exceptional low-light performance.
Done in collaboration with local creative agency Narrow Door, the campaign will run until late December. Centred on the theme "Elevate your sight," it explores the artistic possibilities of night photography through the lens of film and pop icon Nicholas Tse (pictured).
Targeting mobile photography enthusiasts and tech-savvy young professionals seeking innovative imaging solutions for lifestyle enhancement, the campaign is designed to position the HONOR Magic8 Pro as Hong Kong’s premier choice for night photography, highlighting a fresh nighttime aesthetic through engaging product-focused content.
As part of the campaign, a 45-second video features Tse as a master photographer with a keen eye for the beauty of the night. Armed with an HONOR Magic8 Pro, he explores the city after dark, capturing its lights and shadows for photographic inspiration. The result is a visual representation of Hong Kong noir that unveils the city's moody glamour.
The 45-second launch video is complemented by cutdown versions, a key visual, out-of-home, social and digital executions, press releases, media outreach, and in-store point of sale materials.
Tse’s involvement goes beyond conventional product endorsement. In addition to being the campaign spokesman, Tse is also the official judge for MAGIC in the Dark, a public photo contest organised by HONOR to underscore Magic8 Pro’s proposition by inviting night photography enthusiasts to showcase their skills.

HONOR has also partnered with Hong Kong fine-art landscape photographer Kelvin Yuen, who tested the device on real night shoots before sharing his insights on stage at the launch event. His photographic creations will be featured across HONOR’s social channels to let the public see the night in a new light.
At the same time, HONOR collaborated with key tech media to host exclusive night shooting workshops on iconic junk boats and open-top buses to deliver hands-on proof of the device’s night vision prowess.
Roy Tang, marketing manager at HONOR Hong Kong, said: “HONOR Magic8 Pro is a game-changing mobile device that is engineered to offer more creative freedom at night than ever before. By partnering with Tse and creating Hong Kong-exclusive content, we are not just celebrating the addition of a new flagship to our lineup, but inviting everyone to discover just how photogenic the night can be if only they have the right tool.”
Terry Tsang, director of Narrow Door, said: “It is easily one of the most stylish advertising films of the year. As such, it does the product justice. The luminous beauty of the imagery combines with Tse’s star power to light up the night.”

Don’t miss: HONOR debunks myths surrounding foldable smartphones with new campaign
Back in August, HONOR launched a campaign to debunk myths about foldable smartphones, featuring its newly launched HONOR Magic V5 series.
Done in collaboration with Narrow Door, media agency Wavemaker and PR agency Chillchil, the cmapaign came with a tagline “Thinnest in the world · One and only flagship” (世一輕薄 唯一旗艦). To debunk misconceptions about foldable smartphones, the campaign opted for a dramatic courtroom showdown between the Magic V5 and traditional bar phones (直板手機).
