The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has tapped US YouTubers - the Stokes Twins to film their first Asian travel vlog in the city. This initiative comes as part of HKTB’s "Hong Kong summer viva" campaign, designed to highlight the city’s attractions, cultural experiences, dining scene and nightlife to international audiences.

With approximately 190 million followers across multiple platforms, Alan and Alex Stokes, collectively known as the Stokes Twins, are renowned for their entertaining lifestyle contents and viral challenge videos on YouTube.
During their seven-day itinerary arranged by HKTB, the twins visited Hong Kong Disneyland Resort during its 20th anniversary celebrations and Ocean Park Hong Kong, where they met giant panda cubs Jia Jia and De De. The schedule also included an island-hopping excursion, designed to highlight Hong Kong’s unique coastal and mountainous landscapes.
Additionally, the twins explored various aspects of local culture, including testing facilities at the Kai Tak Sports Park and staying in five-star luxury accommodation. They also participated in film stunt workshops, and Wing Chun martial arts training.
During their stay, they also sampled culinary experiences ranging from Temple Street Night Market's street food to Michelin-starred Cantonese cuisine, all of which demonstrate Hong Kong's fusion of Eastern and Western influences.
To maximise visibility, the Stokes Twins released a vlog about their stay in Hong Kong on Wednesday via YouTube channel. HKTB is complementing this release with highlight reels distributed through its official social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
The twins said, "Our time in Hong Kong has honestly been so incredible; every day felt like a new adventure. This city has so much character, everyone is so welcoming, the food is next-level, and once you feel its charm, it leaves a deep imprint in your heart. Whether you’re into nature, food, exploring, or just chilling and soaking it all in, Hong Kong has something for every tourist. For us, it’s been the ultimate summer trip, and we can’t wait to share everything we got to experience with our fans and get our video out there for everyone to see what makes Hong Kong so captivating."
Last month, HKTB unveiled its summer campaign, "Hong Kong summer viva", collaborating with over 100 global KOLs to showcase its discounts and offerings to locals and visitors, done in partnership with local theme parks, transport operators, hotels, restaurants, and retailers.
The initiative reflects HKTB’s recent strategic shift from prioritising visitor numbers to attracting higher-value overnight tourists through targeted campaigns and partnerships.
