Hong Kong-based sports startup Appysport has partnered with one of the world’s biggest sports retailers Decathlon to get out of town for its newest pop-up. Heading out to where the city’s water sports enthusiasts go, the partnership will be going old school with a van to - Hong Kong's back garden - Sai Kung, offering discounts on activities and materials.
The Appysport X Decathlon Pop-Up Mobile Van will provide exclusive discounts on Appysport’s sports classes and equipment rentals, such as half-priced stand-up paddling yoga lessons and kayak rentals.
This quirky piece of boots on the ground O2O marketing is going forward just as Appysport has launched more than 80 water sports activities to its platform and added Decathlon’s product rental service to the app’s booking section. It’s hoped that water sports enthusiasts that get face to face with the brand move online to book their water activities and equipment through Appysport’s digital platform.
The pop-up mobile van will be parked at Sha Ha Road of Sai Kung on 21, 22, 28 and 29 September.
